Quick Learner
My daughter amazes me more and more each day. She is 21 months old. A couple of months ago it seemed her vocabulary hadn’t increased for a long time. I thought she will never learn new words. But now all of a sudden she seems to be picking up words like crazy. In this month alone she has probably learned 50 new words. I’m so happy for her. She’s so smart! She is also starting to put words together in sentences.
It’s so easy for me to understand what she says , now even other people who would always ask me what she was saying understand her, It really is great to see how kids grow up and to be able to see how they learn new things. It seems that kids these days are much smarter, they pick up on things so much faster. My daughter loves to imitate what people are doing and she laughs (at them) which probably won’t be such a funny thing once she’s older. I’ll let it slide for now!!
So if anyone out there was worried like me about their toddlers learning new words, don’t be!!! They learn at their own pace, no reason to rush it, they will start talking more once they are ready. Patience is the key. Enjoy them!!
